What happens in the trial?

This is where all the fun begins! In this time we will discuss and develop your perfect look specifically for you. I will guide you through what is best suited for your eye shape and face shape, as well as hair length and style. You will also receive a skin consultation and throughout our time, I will teach you tips and tricks along the way!

How long does a trial normally last?

The bridal trial will usually take between 2-3 hours depending on the services booked. This can take place my home in Margate, or another chosen location. (Please unsure you provide an appropriate area to set up with chairs (ideally a tall stool), a large table and power sockets.)

Do I need a trial before my wedding day?

I would definitely suggest having a trial before your wedding day. It’s important to try out your hair and makeup ideas to understand and perfect your look for the day. It’s always great to have an idea of what you want, and sometimes the chosen look doesn’t always suit you as well as you first thought it might. Which is why at our trial we can try a number of looks to find your perfect match.

It can take years to plan a wedding, so don’t miss out on making yourself look and feel perfect.

When should I book my trial?

I always suggest having our trial 1-6 months prior to the wedding day, but this decision is up to you! Some brides like to have everything organised in plenty of time and others prefer to have their trial closer to the day so its more fresh in their mind! I try to accommodate the best I can for the preferred date, but due to high demand for wedding dates my trials only take place on week days.

Do I need to prepare anything for my trial?

It is always really useful to have visual guides of styles and looks you like, so having a few images you would like to take inspiration from is great. I’ll go through in detail what you’re looking for and create a look to suit your individual features and hair style/length. Before our trial I will send you some tips and tricks to prepare your skin and hair so it’s at it’s best.

Can I try more than one look?

Of course! It’s always good to look at a number of different style ideas, but for ease it’s best to narrow your choice down to about two looks. This will help us get the most out of our time together, as if there is too much choice it can be easy to get muddled. If you can’t decide what you like, I can always help guide you with what I feel to be the most flattering looks to specifically suit you. Once the looks are completed we can always fine tune and tweak to achieve the perfect finish for you.

Do my bridal party need a trial too?

A trial for the members of the bridal party is not essential but can be useful if they are unsure of what hair or makeup look they would like, it will be the perfect opportunity to try out potential ideas and create something personally for them. If they haven’t had their hair and makeup done before it will help to put them at ease as there will not be time on the wedding day to experiment with different looks. This can also be a fun experience for you to have with your bridal party, often brides and their Mother’s or maid of honour have their trial together, and then go for a night out on the town after!

What shall I expect on the wedding day?

On the day of your wedding, everything will be in order to run smoothly so you can sit back, relax and enjoy your morning! I will send over a schedule for the day so you will know exactly what will be happening and when. Your hair and makeup will have been perfected at your trial, therefore you can relax in the knowledge that everything is going to plan! I always allow extra time at the end to do any touch-ups needed and to give time for last minute preparations and pictures before you leave for your ceremony.

Can you stay for any touch-ups throughout the day?

Yes I’m available to be booked for the rest of your day to be on hand for any touch-ups you and your bridal party might need, and to assist with your wedding photos. If you require this additional service, please let me know when enquiring and I will add this to your quote. For the pricing of this service, please click here.

If I need an additional look for the evening, can you provide that?

If you require an additional look for you and your bridal party on the evening of your wedding day, this can be provided at the additional cost of the service required and the hours in between each service. For more information, please click here.
